Message from CEO
For the smiles of all our customers.
Since 2002, we have been manufacturing and selling frozen gyoza for commercial use, aiming to bring happiness to both consumers and foodservice professionals. Observing the time and labor challenges faced by ramen shop owners and wholesalers, we wanted to create delicious, easy-to-prepare products that reduce their workload. Today, our gyoza are trusted by around 1,000 restaurants nationwide, and we continue to focus on safety, quality, and customer feedback.
Company History
Thirty years of dedication to gyoza.
In 1991, Maruwa Co., Ltd. was established in Yotsukaido City, Chiba Prefecture, starting with just 3 million yen in capital. Our journey began in food wholesale, but in 2002, a major turning point came with the opening of our own gyoza factory. Shifting from simply “making” to taking responsibility for every step through to “delivery,” we embarked on the path of a dedicated gyoza manufacturer. Since then, we have continued to grow through capital increases, equipment investments, and factory relocations. In 2012, we merged the manufacturing division, SHOWA, and the sales division, Maruwa, unifying the company under the name SHOWA Co., Ltd. and creating a structure focused solely on gyoza production. We have continually embraced new challenges, from opening our direct-sales store Gyoza no Takahashi to introducing sales via supermarkets, online stores, and vending machines. What has remained unchanged since our founding is our commitment to quality ingredients and the desire to deliver them sincerely to our customers. Moving forward, we will continue grounded, trustworthy gyoza production that earns the confidence of our customers.
